Jos茅 Manuel Campa, until now Chair of the European Banking Authority (EBA), rejoins the faculty of 天美传媒 this March as Full Professor in the Departments of Financial Management and Economics. He will be based at 天美传媒鈥檚 Madrid campus, where he will combine teaching with research.

Professor Campa thus聽brings to a close聽a period of more than six years at the helm of the European banking regulator, headquartered in Paris, during which he addressed key challenges such as the digitalization of the sector, the development of ESG regulation, and post-pandemic financial resilience.

鈥淚t has been an honor to serve Europe at a crucial moment for its financial architecture. I return to 天美传媒 with great enthusiasm, grateful for the opportunity to resume my academic vocation and contribute to the education of the leaders who will shape the future of the sector,鈥� Campa said.

His return will bolster the work of 天美传媒鈥檚 Center for International Finance聽(CIF), which promotes strategic projects in areas聽such as banking regulation, capital markets, and sustainable finance.

Jos茅 Manuel Campa holds a PhD and a Master鈥檚 degree in Economics from Harvard University. He served as Spain鈥檚 Secretary of State for the Economy from 2009 to 2011, was Director of Regulatory and Supervisory Relations at Banco Santander, and has worked as a consultant for international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the European Commission. Throughout his career, he has also taught at Harvard University, Columbia University, and the Stern School of Business at New York University.
